Hey everyone! So lately I have been finding the most amazing foundations! High end and drugstore products. If you are a popular makeup company you are most likely trying to keep up with your competitors and are coming out with some amazing new foundations this time of year…FINALLY! So knowing my skin and how hard it is for me to absolutely love a foundation, I started trying all of them. Here is a list of some of them that I have tried and my reviews on them. Enjoy!
First, the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super Charged Foundation – $49.
Oh. My. God people, this foundations is AMAZING! It is going to work wonders for people with all skin types. It is a gel formula and oil-free. It is going to be super hydrating for every skin type and it lasts throughout the day without making your skin look dry or oily. It is super easy to blend on the skin. The coverage is going to be medium-full. It comes in 16 different shades so you won’t have a hard time finding a good match. Although the price is tad expensive, if you are a foundation junky like me, this is going to be one that you definitely have to try!
L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion – $16.99.
A beautiful, natural finish foundation. The hype that has been going around lately is the cushion foundations. Everyone from Mac to Amore Pacific is coming out with these cushion foundations. What it is, if you aren’t sure, is a compact that has a cushion soaked with the liquid foundation. It comes with an applicator sponge you use to apply it over the face. The finish is going to be a sheer, natural finish and it is more on the Luminous side (hence Lumi) so if you have more oily skin, this probably won’t be the best foundation for you. The ones with more dry or normal skin types, this is going to go on beautifully and leave your skin looking hydrated and flawless throughout the day. It comes in 12 different shades and you can find it at your local drugstore.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Cover Stick – $43.
This foundation might look a little intimidating at first because it isn’t it the usual liquid or powder form we are all use to. But my god, does it go on beautifully on the skin! It literally just melts right into your skin creating this flawless, complexion. It is perfect for all skin types. Although it does say for normal to dry, but I have combo skin and it works perfectly fine if set with a powder. What I love about this is that a little goes such a long way. And with its versatile stick application, if you want to grab one a couple shades darker, it works wonders for contouring as well! Coverage is medium to full, build-able coverage. I would recommend buffing this out with a brush. If you see this at your local Sephora, don’t hesitate to grab one and try it out, you won’t regret it.
Lastly, NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – $44.
This foundation is brand spankin new to us and if you have oily skin, this is going to be perfect for you! It is going to control and lock in the moisture in your skin which is going to help control the oil so you don’t look super shiny throughout the day. It is a matte finish and it seriously looks beautiful! It is going to make your skin look soft and velvet and just so natural like you aren’t wearing any makeup, which hello, we all want! It does however have the SPF 30 in it, so if you are going out at night or taking pictures, this might have some flashback. But as just an everyday, quick, go-to foundation you are going to fall in love. I know I did. Available in 12 shades.
